" I will do great, big things with my art. I will help people around the world with my art. I will be successful!"-Amaranthia***
I read these words every night on the ceiling above my bed before going to sleep. The words encourage me to proceed with my goal of being a successful artist who can help people in the world through my art. The famous snow boarder, Shaun White, inspired me to put this quote above my bed. He did the same thing when he was younger to encourage himself to become a successful snowboarder. Between the ages of 4-7 I spent time in Tokyo, Japan as a student and a model for various agencies. Living in Tokyo helped me to see the world from many different perspectives at a very young age. Surrounded by people from many different countries and cultures, as well as Japan's unique history, anime, manga, and their amazing landscapes and culture, made me learn to appreciate the arts in my life. Ever since then, I've been drawing nonstop in a mix of media. I love the human figure, water color, still life, landscapes, inking, penciling, sculpting and more. I also work in electronic mediums such as Brushes and Sketchbook Pro on the iPad. One of my main goals, in the next few years, is to become a student enrolled in College majoring in General Design with a focus in the Graphic Arts. Another major goal is to have a solo show of my best pieces in an Art Gallery. I love playing percussion especially the bells and the snare drum. Performances on Taiko Drums, when in Japan, sparked a love for percussion. I would love to perform Taiko again as well as play percussion in festivals and concerts outside of school concerts. Today my time is spent focusing on academics and producing as much art as possible. I am on full scholarship at Art School. I hope to have my first Manga series published before I enter college and am busy developing the concept and characters. One day I hope to return to Japan to work with well-known Manga artist and publishers.
